It's fully online and global, which is what makes it reachable for an Indian student team.
What is open right now is Crypto World's Fair, which runs 14 September to 12 October 2026 with registration already open — 1,870 builders had registered as of 11 September 2026, against the 80,000+ who have competed in Colosseum hackathons overall. The notable change is scope: Colosseum calls it the first of its competitions to accept submissions from outside Solana, open to builders across blockchain ecosystems. For the record, when it runs it is a four-week sprint with a one-minute video update each week, and its Eternal Award is $25,000 in non-dilutive stablecoins plus consideration for the accelerator's $250,000 pre-seed — note that the $250,000 is investment in your company, not prize money paid to you. Until it reopens, the twice-yearly hackathon is the way in.

Read the prize tracks when they publish on 14 September and pick the ecosystem track you will actually build on, rather than building first and looking for a track afterwards.
Form a team around a product you can genuinely launch in four weeks — this is judged like a startup competition, not a demo contest.
Check the eligibility shape before you invest: it is aimed at teams building a new startup that has not raised significant outside capital, and prior development work on the project has to be disclosed.
