Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of tierones.io ("Tierones"). By creating an account or using the site you agree to them. If you use Tierones on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for that company.
1. What Tierones is
Tierones is a network that connects verified students of India's IITs, NITs and IIITs with employers hiring for coding roles. We provide the platform — profiles, postings, applications, messaging and interview scheduling. We are not an employer, recruitment agency or party to any internship or employment agreement. Any engagement, its stipend and its terms are agreed directly between the employer and the student; stipends are always set by the employer, not by Tierones.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- Student accounts require a valid institute email from a listed IIT, NIT or IIIT, and you must be at least 18 years old.
- Employer accounts must represent a real organisation and are subject to review before postings go live.
- You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and maintain only one account. Misrepresenting your identity, institute, skills or company is grounds for removal.
3. Fees
Tierones is free for students — no fees, no deposits, ever. Employer use is currently free; if paid plans are introduced, they will be announced and agreed separately before anything is charged.
4. Acceptable use
- No scraping, bulk-downloading or harvesting of profiles or contact details.
- Employers may use student contact information (including phone numbers revealed after shortlisting) only for hiring conversations on or about Tierones roles — not for marketing or resale.
- No harassment, discrimination, spam, fake postings, or unpaid "trial work" disguised as hiring.
- No attempts to probe, disrupt or bypass the platform's security.
5. Your content
You own the content you add (profiles, postings, messages). You grant us a licence to host and display it as needed to operate the platform — including, if you choose to publish a public profile, displaying that profile at its public link until you unpublish it. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms or harm the network's trust.
6. Third-party opportunities
Pages such as /opportunities list external programs, hackathons and fellowships run by third parties. We verify listed facts against official sources on a regular schedule, but details can change — always confirm on the official site before relying on them. We are not responsible for third-party programs or websites.
7. No guarantees
We do not guarantee that any student will be hired, that any employer will find a candidate, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Tierones is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability arising from use of the platform is limited to the amount you have paid us (for students and currently for employers: zero).
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time (see our Privacy Policy for how data deletion works). We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
9. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date, and continued use means acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
